- The Tolbooth Museum
This famous award-wining maritime museum is located on the historic Shiprow and has some galleries in Provost Ross's House, the oldest building in Aberdeen, built in 1593. There are exhibitions and displays of the North Boats, the offshore North sea oil and gas industry, ship building and clipper ships, all of which showcases the relationship of the city with the North Sea. Newer exhibitions include the Aberdeen Harbour Gallery and computer inter-actives on Aberdeen, which shows everything from fishing techniques to how to “park” your ship in the harbour.
